We developed Reverend Willy's Strings in collaboration with Billy himself—aiming to make strings that offer a real punch and still stay articulate and clear when performing his legendary leads and pinch harmonics. The next time you open up a pack of Dunlop guitar or bass strings, you will notice we’ve done away with the plastic bag and desiccant pack in favor of new VCI (Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor) paper envelopes. These envelopes have VCI technology built into the paper itself, creating a barrier of protection around the string and keeping out moisture and rust. VCI is invisible and leaves no trace on the string. Dunlop Strings come out of the package as fresh as the day they were made.

I like the rev Willie G strings better than any brand at the similar price point. These are very light and takes a while to get used to but they sound and feel great. You have to get past the myth that great tone only comes from heavy strings. The Rev, EVH, Paul Gilbert, and Yngwie all used lighter than normal gauge strings and they sound great

So I was prompted to buy these strings due to a really bad case of tendinitis in my left hand that I am battling right now. I have to say these strings are awesome sounding and easy to bend. I play classic rock and 80s metal and these seem to be just fine for that. You do not have to strain at all when you play and that’s exactly what I need right now. if it were not for these strings, I would probably have to stop playing until this tendinitis heals. Super grateful to have them.

Love these strings !!! So easy to play and bend. My calouses are not what they used to be due to not playing as much as I used to, but these strings will help me get my calouses back in shape relatively painlessly, and I could see sticking with these strings permanently even after getting my calouses back.They sound great also, and I think that even though the thinner strings have less power in the fundamental tones, the harmonics are more predominant, giving a better "harmonics to fundamental ratio".

After getting used to how light they are, these strings really do the job. They didn't "thin" my tone, don't break anymore then 9's or 10's. ya just need to adjust to how easy they are to play and I think you will love them.

If you have trouble bending strings like Gilmore, these are the ones you need.You should know up front that if you replace your standard tension strings with these extra light strings that it changes the tension on the guitar neck enough that you might need to adjust the neck bow.Just for fun I tried some on my Orangewood acoustic, probably not the best choice for tone and volume of that Acoustic sound.On my electric Strat and my ES they are great !I have not had them long enough to really rate longevity.
