Even though it’s all plastic the knobs feel solid once installed, and they glide smoothly when turning. It was really easy to install, and is a great upgrade for the old faucet style shower hook up I replaced.One thing to note: after shutting off the shower at first, the tiny hole at the bottom of the vacuum breaker/shower head hose hook up drained water back from the shower head hose, and this would slowly pool up on the tub edge then run onto the floor a little bit. I noticed it quickly and after running just straight hot water through it for less than a minute the valve inside relaxed back into place, and it has worked perfectly fine since.
