This garage door bottom strip worked perfectly as a replacement for my old worn and cracked bottom seal. The seal was easy to cut with regular scissors as it came in a 10 foot strip and my garage door is only 8 feet wide. I did need to pop the bottom of the garage door out of the tracks and loosen the brackets on both sides (do NOT take them completely off, they are under tension). Once that was done I slid the strip into the slots on both sides (I lubricated them first making the job of sliding the strip on easier). I have a much better seal on my garage to keep bugs, water, and debris from entering my garage. This seal is much more robust than the previous one. I am very happy with this order.

I installed this garage door gasket in cold weather, so the rubber was a bit stiff, but it still went in pretty easily. I really like that I’m not seeing light under the door anymore, and it’s doing a good job of keeping the cold air and drafts out. The inner ring is a nice upgrade compared to my last budget gasket—it really adds stability, and I think it will help this one last longer.The only downside I noticed was that rolling the ends in was harder with this design, but I think that’s just part of the tradeoff for a more secure fit. That's noteworthy, expect a bit of extra effort, but not something I can see a way to change. Overall, this is a solid, durable gasket that provides great insulation and should hold up well over time. Definitely a good investment. I highly recommend this one.

Thick and solid. However, it took a while to unravel from being folded during shipping. This is a heavy duty liner.
