I can only compare the Dura-bond FP-33 HP Camshaft Bearing Set for the 427 Ford engine with the camshaft bearings that the Ford Motor Company fitted to the 427 engine as original equipment.The Dura-Bond is inherently superior. This is because they were manufactured as slices from are a seamless cylindrical tube. In contrast, the original Ford bearings were manufactured first as narrow strips sliced from flat sheet metal stock; the flat strips were then curved into circular bands such that theyr two narrow sides touched, and the narrow sides were mechanically interlocked together. The mechanical seam in the original Ford bearing is inherently inferior to the seamless Dura-Bond bearing.
