We run a wood stove insert in the kitchen of our farm house and these are our favorite starters to use. We've tried them all, made our own, these just work. I used to be able to get them locally but that store switched to another type, which I tried. So back to Amazon to get the real thing.

We heat with wood in the winter and always use the Duraflame Quickstart Firelighters - I like that I only need a small piece to start our fires so one single piece from a block can be broken into 3-4 smaller pieces.They are easy to start and burn for a good amount of time.

This was a good investment for a nice fire for my fireplace. My son told me a little secret about putting tea light candles near them, so that they will have a longer time to catch fire. He was right. You might want to try it. Good product.
