My great grand son thought it was very cool, He is 20 months! I was a little concerned it might be too scary but apparently not judging by his grin!

At first I thought it was defective, because they shipped it with dead batteries. The second set of batteries I tried didn't work either; I had to get out brand new batteries to get it to work.Even then, because there are no directions, I only accidentally found that not only do you have to slide a switch, but you HAVE TO PRESS THE JAW TO TURN IT ON. Pretty funny, but in the packaging there is NO indication that you need to do that. The battery compartment is held on with screws that look exactly like the screws that hold it together. I almost disassembled the jaw because it felt like something else needed to be loosened for the compartment to open and the jaw is held on with the exact same type of screw. It is nice that they include a tiny screwdriver since it is SO tiny and some people might not have one. The battery compartment screw is easy to remove but the compartment is almost impossible to open; there is no way to get a hold of it. I finally used the screwdriver as a lever to open it. You have to screw the door back on; it has no latch to keep it closed otherwise; so if you lose the tiny screw you are out of luck. The roar is loud but very poor quality; hollow sounding.I have already had to mend/resew the strap, just from adjusting it once. The stitching on one strap started unraveling (pulling out) with the first use. At least the straps are nice and soft.It is pretty heavy on your head. What saves it, is that it is very funny, and still can be useful at the same time.
