The product is as described by the product description (and by other reviewers). Seems very well made and heavy duty, but as other reviewers mentioned the directions are dreadful, and they refer to a template that is nonexistent, but install was fairly easy.I had to do quite a bit of tinkering to move the old key cylinder into the new handle, but even that wasn't too hard. I suggest watching a YouTube video or two showing professionals installing push bars, as their tips + common sense are infinitely more helpful than the enclosed directions.Product serves the purpose we needed it to, appears as if it will last, and came on time from Home Hardware Central.Updated/Simplified Directions for those that need them:1. Remove old lock set if needed2. Remove head and end covers from push bar3. Mount outside door handle4. Hold push bar on inside of door, use a level to make sure it's straight, and mark the holes5. Leave bar to the side and drill holes6. Attach bracket to hold butt end of push bar7. Insert bar into bracket and put in rest of the screws8. Mount roller latch to frame9. Reattach head and end covers

A tenant in a commercial building has had problems with the existing push bar opener. Rather than attempt a repair I opted for a new push bar. I paid for faster delivery and it arrived with no delays. Upon examining the new push bar I noticed it had some heft and was solid. The actual lock mechanism worked smoothly and easily when the bar was pushed. The chassis assembly that houses the lock was solid and strong. All other non-locking parts (i.e. push bar, cover plate and exterior door knob) are brushed (dull) aluminum. Due to my own fault I never installed the device. I failed to notice in the 'Customers Q + A' the answer for door stile width. It states: "... not for glass door stiles under 6 inches". My bad! I was able to repair the original mechanism, but if I ever need another new push bar this is the one I may order.

I’ve installed a few of these on high traffic doors. Needed a little adjustment but otherwise good enough.

My husband needed these for a remodel job at a church. These were exactly what he needed, installed easily, and are heavy duty. He said he'd purchase these again if needed.

My review was going to be good. It was going to be phenomenal. I was happy about the price. My only sugges Was that they would be better off including self drilling sheet metal screws because the ones I used made it a breeze. However the locking mechanism in the handle is miserable. Even reading the instructions I can’t get it to go to where the handle is unlocked. Unlocking with the handle is completely counterintuitive because you have to turn counterclockwise and pull the handle clockwise at the same time. Now I’ll probably have to take the thing apart and try another one.

Product installed easily and works well. Not as substantial as what it replaced so no idea of longevity. For the price seems to be a good deal.
