Been a metalsmith and jeweler for over 50 years and my degrading eyesight finally compelled me to buy better magnifiers, looked at many options, some were wearable, some were static, some were even digital and gave much more magnification then what I needed. This one checked all the boxes, mechanically rugged, simple to erect, and easy to use. It took me a while to get used to using it, 50 years fo using headsets required some adjustment, but my posture is better, more erect, better view of the details; the ring lamp is the bomb. I can set stones or engrave all day now with little to no fatigue, in hands, neck, posture, or eyes. Absolutely Love it!!!

I had originally been looking at the Leica A60 with the Acrobat stand on Rio Grande for $2950. I figured I would check Amazon just to see what they had. I'm so glad I did. At $400 for this one it's a no-brainer. I was skeptical that something would be off for such a low price but there isn't. It zooms amazingly, is super sturdy and saved me $2550 plus tax. I dont know what anyone would need it to do more that would make it worth buying a Leica.2 important things to know: The instructions are non-existent. With a little effort you can figure it out. You may need to add a shelf to your workbench. The stand is very heavy-duty but just like the Acrobat, they need a little space. I didn't want to lose any of my workspace so i added a shelf onto the back, as you can see in the pictures. I made mine out of mahogany because of the heavy weight.Overall, two minor inconveniences to save $2500!

I was sceptic but hopefull to receive this microscope after all the good reviews. And i was happily amazed that i could get a good microscope for this price. You get everything nicely packaged. And it all worked super fine! I ordered it all the way to Norway and it was still immaculate. The stand is very good on it. For the tenth of the price of leica i must say it delivers.

I like it , the quality is good and i think it will do the job for beginner and intermediate level. The price is very reasonable.

For the money this scope cannot be beat. I needed a stone setting scope but the usual Leica et al is way outside my price range right now. I’ve had a chance to use Leicas and Meijis with acrobat stands. While this scope is definitely a lesser quality it stands on its own for value. Came well packed, installed quickly, and the ball vice is a nice little addition.

I’m honestly surprised that this is a legit thing! For $500, I wasn’t expecting much. This got delivered in a few days, and I was able to set up and install this in under 30 minutes. The light is super bright and adjustable, the arm is a little stiff but does swing and move like it should. One thing the scope is missing is that it doesn’t have a focus adjusting knob, just a zoom knob- I’m used to a Leica a60 and this doesn’t feel too different other than that overall! I think you can tell the materials are slightly cheaper, but overall the visual quality is really great.I am missing a teeny tiny screw that holds the eyepiece in place, but it still works fine without it. The ball vise is okay, the jaws doesn’t fully close shut, and it’s true what other reviewers said- the peg holes don’t really line up perfectly so I’ll need to figure out a better way to hold a ring in there. Because you can’t adjust the focus on the scope, I think getting some risers for the ball vise to raise it higher or lower will be the easiest fix for that issue (or a slide and lock if you have one).Just got this today, so will need to try out for awhile to see how it holds up. Pretty impressed so far!

Good magnifying power but the light wasn’t in the box so I can’t tell yet.. I guess I’ll have to buy a light for it unless I return it…

Was a bit cautious on this purchase, but the good reviews won me over. Would happily buy again! Is it perfect? No. But compared to the other pricier options it’s a winner. Really aids in stone setting and upping your detailing.Be patient as there is defined a learning curve using it and the directions are basic basic basic (that goes for the assembly instructions also).
