Absolutely excellent. Technically, it's illegal in Indiana for frog gigging, but I've never run into any problems with it. Says made in China on the package, but extremely well built. I've been using this exact same gig head for years, and bought a couple more since my others were worn out. This is the only gig head I buy, you cannot go wrong with purchasing this.

I ordered two of these, one needs to be sharpened and the other is sharp as it can be. They do start bending Under a descent amount of pressure, but it'll be good enough for spring spearing 2-8lb fish. I Measured them at 3 1/4 from the first tine to the 5th on each. I haven't used these yet, but I wouldn't use it for fish too large. I have these mounted on 2 5' pieces of PVC pipe I got for $1 at menards which brings the total price to $16 for 2 complete spears. Over all pleased. These are what I was looking for and expected. I can't wait to use them.

Made of bendable chinesium - the second you hit something harder than a flounder, it’s gonna bend

These eagle claw 5 prong gigs work great on flounder and sheepshead. You can mount them on a broom pole or a PVC pipe, with a bolt or screw. They will eventually rust out, but for this price, they can be replaced every 3 years. I recommend this product because of its affordable price and useful function. I ordered this to get by on until I found the Stainless Steel gig I wanted, but now that I have it, I will just go with this much less expensive option

Great item to have in your survival bag. If you’re in the back country carve a stick and put the screw through it that comes with it and you have a great spear. I will try it this summer and I’ll get back to you

will definately work, however you could still make your own fishing spear entirely out of wood, which poses greater craftsmanship challenges and rewards.

Pretty great product. Bends easily though so i wouldnt recommend using it on solid objects, only for spear fishing. The nut and bolt it came with was too small for the spear head. I used a 1inch 6 foot long dowel and shaved down the end with a knife to make it fit perfect. 8.5 out of 10. Im satisfied, thanks.

I've be looking really hard for a Fish spear head. this one is not exactly the size I need as this is about a medium sized head (bigger than a frog spear head and smaller than a fish spear head) for possibly both frog and fish spearing. If you're looking for one exclusively for fish, I would suggest looking for one larger at around 8 - 9 inches long or so and 5 inches wide. Although I do still see usability in this head for smaller fish species, I'll give it a try and see how it does

Flimsy, weak, bad welds, garbage.
