Very pleased and surprised how nice this is. Best of all the step part is covered in plastic which helps existing in Florida. It fits the bill but not too large. Highly recommend.

Fairly straightforward, simple installation. When installing, make sure you insert the pin facing down, so that gravity forces the heavy end towards the ground, which is best practice when installing trailer hitch pins.The step feels fairly stable. I stood on it a few times to test and it felt fairly stable without a ton of give.

I wanted this more as an extra safety measure than for a step. It works for both. I am a solo camper in a camper van. While my van has a back-up camera, it's still easy to get too close to something that might be out of view. So I figured the step would at least bump first and let me know I better stop...and stop NOW. And the other idea was that it might prevent someone from driving up too close to me in a parking lot -- not wanting to damage their car. I added reflective tape to the step as an extra safety measure.It also makes a handy and sturdy step. It wobbles in the receiver hitch, and I know I can fix that..but usually there's a bike rack in the place of the step. It's not worth worrying about a little wobble. I can't hear it when I'm driving and it's not an issue when actually using the step for its intended purpose.

Fits nicely in my 2†receiver on my Highlander, I did buy a locking pin to replace the pin that came with it! The pin was more for the hitch when I put it on but I keep it on for the step to keep the pin handy!

It was just the right size for my Jeep. It extends just beyond the spare tire which is great as the bumper is useless.
