I have several in most of my downspouts and collect a lot of rainwater for plants. Easy to install and works as advertised to catch more water than needed…as long as we get some rain.

This works amazingly great. Buying the kit with the drill bits included was perfect and saved me a ton of money versus buying the hole saws myself at Home Depot or somewhere else. I didn't own any hole saws and what bits were provided are probably sturdy enough for the odd job around the house after as well. I wasn't sure how fast it would work with the hole in the middle, but it filled a 50 gal barrel in one afternoon rainshower. I like how when you install it level with your barrel the overflow just goes down the drainpipe because we have to keep our barrel up on our porch due to our HOA and it would just be a mess of water coming out of the rain barrel on the porch otherwise.

Installed as per video instructions. Works as advertised. Make sure that the pitch from the downspout to the barrel is just slightly down.We had about 30 minutes of showers in S Florida last night and it filled it up. The extra drained back into the downspout. I did caulk around the downspout connection.Very pleased.

Only drawback is the adapter for the rain downspout. My downspout is 2X3 inch and the adapter is for a 3 X 5 inch.

Avoid Aquabarrel LLC. Returned item and they imposed unbelievable fees including sales tax that wasn’t refunded. Even imposed a shipping fee which is now free. Spoke to someone at the company and he was extremely rude and claimed fees were as described. Maybe if you went to the sellers storefront. Who does that? Lack of disclosure and shady. Product itself was insufficient to gather enough water from the downspout.

This is a great product to get water out of a downspout into a rain barrel. We added a second rain barrel and this is the second diverter kit I have purchased and installed. The instructions do not give enough information on how to install at the proper height for water to run into the rain barrel when filling to run out and back to the downspout when the rain barrel is full. I was able to watch several YouTube videos to get the information. Once installed it works great! I am happy and would recommend to a friend.

This item works great. It was easy to install. We had a rain storm that resulted in 0.6 of an inch in rain. It filled my 50 gallon rain barrel to capacity in no time.
