These are the best veggie bags ever! They are lightweight and see through. I've even gotten compliments from grocery store employees. You can also wash them with your regular laundry. They are so thin, you can air dry them. A few have found their way into the dryer and they always come out fine. Great product! Highlight recommend!

As a grocery store cashier I have seen just about every brand and style of reusable produce bags come through my line. These Earthwise bags are by far my favorite to both see come through my line and to use myself! Many of the reusable bags claim to be sheer, THEY ARE NOT! With these bags I've never once had to remove an item from the bag to read the sticker code or scan the item. In fact, the scanner often catches the bar codes just setting the bag on the scale. This makes it faster and easier at checkout. Also, most major grocery chains have the tare weights automatically uploaded based on the weights of the packaging provided in the store, the cashiers are generally not capable of inputting specific tare weights so if you have a heavier bag, you pay the extra X amount in weight for the bag as well as the product because the cashier CAN NOT CHANGE TARE WEIGHTS. Out of curiosity I placed one of these empty bags on the scale at work and it read at .01 lbs; which is the exact tare weight automatically removed for the plastic produce bags in-store. NO EXTRA WEIGHT ADDED! I've loaded them up pretty full with about 5 lbs of baker's potatoes, or 10-12 large oranges or apples and they fit just fine. They work on larger bulk foods items such as dry beans and I keep a few separate specifically for bulk dog biscuits and pigs ears. They wash well in the washer (in a lingerie bag), though I've never thrown them in the dryer. I prefer to hand wash just because it's almost ridiculous to wash such a tiny load in my big ol' washer. The only thing I would like to see are a toggle lock on the draw string added on. I'd pay the extra tare weight for that as long as the bags themselves didn't change. Though the bags are made of polyester and in China, I've already reused them enough times to keep my conscious at ease. I can accept the fact that plastic is inescapable and everywhere, including my car's interior, but I've "reused" my car for 11 years and 150K miles so I'm okay with that too. While we can't eliminate plastic (that computer screen you're reading is housed in plastic) we CAN lessen the impact, even if it just means reusing the same old plastic for as long as we can.

These were a gift to my daughter, but she has brought them home occasionally. They are amazing! They help save the environment, and they feel nice and work so well! They wash very well & are easy to use. In addition, they are soft on produce, are attractive & convenient, and inexpensive. I give them a definite "thumbs UP!" She has had these for a year now, uses them with every shopping trip, and they still look new.

I originally bought these 9 mesh bags for produce that I could tie up and secure. When I am checking out they don’t rip like store produce plastic bags. They open much easier than plastic bags, too! I can store produce at home in these in cabinet, on counter or in fridge with great air circulation. Then I started vermicomposting to produce worm casting tea for my garden soil health. This is much better than a cheesecloth with the fine mesh. It never leaks casting particles. I have used one mesh bag over and over for making the casting tea with no wear to it. When harvesting herbs from garden these bags fold small in my basket and are very easy to hold while harvesting, I can tie to fence with the sturdy, long cinch string and let sun dry for a bit then further dry by hanging inside from wire shelving unit. Again, the mesh hole size doesn’t allow dried leaves or flowers to escape. They are lightweight and wash/dry easily. Holding their shape nicely. I have used this fine mesh rather than cheesecloth when straining leaf particles from my tinctures and oils, When a squirrel started eating ALL my huge sunflower heads, I was willing to share some, but not all…I covered each flower head with a mesh bag and cinched the tie around the stem. Out of sight out of mind. I found mesh bags strewn across the yard with partial flower heads eaten. So squirrels are able to gnaw a small hole through the bag eventually with a little work, but then again they did tear the metal window from my bird feeder so they are power gnawers. On a scale of 1-10 these bags are a 10 for sturdiness. I put my money where my mouth is. I have bought 5 sets of these bags since 2019 and have highly recommended them to family and friends.

bags seem to be fairly durable, and will definitely work for storing veggies and fruits in refrigerator. check string knots BEFORE washing as half the bags' strings unknotted themselves in the wash, and it is a bit of work to get them knotted again ... I had to restring them through the hem using a safety pin to re-knot.

These produce bags are strong, and made of lightweight mesh. I had been using a set of three I bought in a grocery store something like ten years ago (still in great shape), and finally decided I needed more. I was so pleased to find that Earthwise still makes them.I only use them for dry produce because I don’t want to have to wash them, but it’s nice to know that they are washable should I decide to totally eliminate plastic produce bags.My only minor complaint is that the drawstring doesn’t stay closed very well. It would be nice to have a fix for that.

These lightweight mesh bags are a great alternative to single use plastics. The produce can breath (great for onion/shallots/sweet potato) Even if something dies in it (curse you vegetable drawer), the bag is easy to clean and sanitize so can continue to use it. Large enough to completely enclose all but the longest veggies. Holds green onions and asparagas with room to spare, but leeks poke out, but that's ok with me. I kept the packaging they come in to hold these together when they are not in use.To clean: I hand wash or use a garment bag so I can toss into the laundry. No shrinkage or issues with either cleaning method

These bags are great. Can be used to pick and package loose produce or other items at the grocery store, saving you - and our turtles and oceans - from more plastic waste. They are also useful for school lunches. They wear well. They are easy to open/close. They do stain over time, and I'm sure there is something that I could do about it, but I just don't care that much how they look ;-)

I purchased a set of these bags to use for grocery shopping but I have since found many other uses for them - pack small clothing items when traveling or any other small things to put in my backpack so they don't run loose. I also do use them for shopping - always keep a few in my purse, they do not take up space. It feels extremely satisfying to forego the plastic bags in the supermarket.
