I think this looks much nicer than your average recycling can but I have two relatively small issues with it. The first is that there are two lids, you’re supposed to be able to lift the top part and the bottom part should stay down to hold the bag in place, but that doesn’t work. And also it can get so full that it’s hard to get the recycling bag out so you just need to empty it more often than you would think. I use those blue recycling bags to make life easier, but you can choose not to.

We had one of those small recycle containers that fits under a cabinet, but we were finding that it got filled up way too quickly. This trash can is extremely convenient for us at it rarely needs to be emptied and is discrete looking enough to not stand out in the kitchen. With the lid we also don't need to worry about attracting any pests and I appreciate that it has very few parts that look like they will wear out. I also like that it's light enough that I can take it outside as a temporary trash can if we're having a party and it's even done double-duty as a work surface a couple of times. I've been pleased with how sturdy it is and it's capacity.

This is a solid can once fully assembled and it looks good. However, the garbage bag does not always stay secured at the top. I guess the engineer didn’t think it was necessary to develop a can that holds the bag well

We've have another similar designed trash can but the lid broke and immediately went after this one. The great thing about this can is that it's appealing and it doesn't look out of place. I love that we can make full use of traditional garbage bags because our last one fell in between outdoor trash bags and kitchen bags. I appreciate the individual marker to indicate trash or recycling and the slide out bottom tray for leaks.I got this in early fall so it hasn't been out in the summer elements so I'm curious to see how well it performs. I would imagine that it can take the beating of the sun and stay in tact.
