The lace up was not what we wanted but would have kept if they fit. Hard to tell exactly what you’re getting on these listings sometimes. Just know that they will be lace up and they ran a bit smaller than expected so we returned.

I bought a medium and was too small so I went up to a 2xl to give him room to grow and the legs was too small but the waste and butt area of the pants are way too big.

My son is 11 and based on the reviews I ordered him a youth Xl and XXL to see which would fit best, he's a size 16 in boys. The XXL would not go past his knees ! Had to return both pairs and go with adult large-size for him.

I bought these for my son. They've held up so far but the pads are kind of thin. Overall they are decent but I'd buy a different pair with thicker pads.
