The posts that this net rolls up into are attached to the edges of the game table. Actually, they are 2-1/2†onto the table surface of our ping-pong table and extend into the area of play, where a ball can easily hit them during play. The tension of the net causes the posts to lean into the play area a bit. One of the pictures I’ve attached shows our current net in front of this portable net. You can see how our net extends beyond the edge of the table so it doesn’t interfere in the play area.The paddles are about an eighth of an inch narrower than our existing paddles. We don’t know if our paddles are too large or these are too small. We don’t think this would cause any problem during play.The good news is that this net will attach to any table up to two inches thick.Overall, the idea of a portable table tennis set is a good one. If you are setting it up on a picnic table and having a fun day playing table tennis, this is a good set. You probably wouldn’t be using this for serious competitive games. My husband and I give this set a 4-Star rating as we believe it suits the intention of a portable set. But it could have been designed better so it doesn’t interfere with the play area.

I was exited for this, my toddler ran around with this like a briefcase proudly.The clamp is limited to open. I couldn't get it on my DIY coffee table (2.5") but it fits great on a folding table (mines a little smol). So anything over 2" is not recommended to clamp too. You got to be conscious of the table length to be able to clear the net on each side, and know its not going to be easy to play on every table. Maybe great to store in a conference room for work parties but that's it.I grew up with a ping pong table, it takes a lot of space, but fun to play. The paddles included are a part of my disappointment. They are a solid injection molded plastic with a matte foam surface. There is nothing to grip and hit the balls well, no springiness or bounce. The top mesh that holds the balls is a little difficult to work with. There's no elastic, so instead its a almost too small an opening to place the balls in there. I assume its because you got to unhook it to use the net. Elastic wouldn't hang well and keep it all contained. Sadly this is made of cheap plastic and materials. It doesn't make a superb first impression. We love the compactness but its a disappointing execution IRL.I've had an item change on me in the far past. At purchase this was called "EastPoint Sports Everywhere Table Tennis Net & Paddle Set - Play Ping Pong Anywhere! Retractable Table Tennis Net fits Most Tables up to 60 inches Wide - 2 Table Tennis Paddles and 3 Ping Pong Balls" This is a new product, so it's description may adjust to suit the product over time.
