I did not notice when I ordered, but the mount bracket is angled to fit the groove of a wood wall used typically in commercial display walls. Not a big deal as I just remove the mount bracket and can faster the the arms directly to my wall stud. That or I could cut the angled portion off so the bracket can lay flat and still retain the swivel feature. I have two old trumpets from the 1920's, so they are like art to me, so great these trumpet mounts came in a two pack. I also like the metal arms are foam padded. Nice quality. Fast shipping

We needed to hang a hand carved didgeridoo my partner brought back from New Zealand. It's stunning, and I refused to put it in a closet somewhere! These mounts allowed us to rest one end and brace the other perfectly. So far, so good!

I ordered this as an instrument stand but when I received it, I immediately noticed two problems:- it uses a wing nut to attach the stand to the wall mount; if you push your horn too far back, you could ding/scratch it; a carriage bolt would have been better- there are no "stops" or indents on the stand itself, so you must make sure that the single wing nut is tight; even then, it's not that hard to bump it out of level

This is a very basic trumpet wall mount. Metal, a few screws, and some padding where the trumpet sits. The arms have a very slight upward curve, which is probably intended to keep the trumpet from sliding off - but I find it's not enough of a curve. I wouldn't trust this in a high traffic area where your trumpet can get bumped, only because that slight curve just isn't enough to prevent it from getting knocked off of the stand. I wish the ends went up at least 45 degrees, if not a hard 90 degrees to really make it safer. But, at this price it does the job and is adequate for the right space. I might end up making it less likely to get bumped off by adding in a hook or something, but I'm not sure yet.

This wall mount is very well made, easy to mount to the wall and easily supports the weight of my trumpet and helps to display it nicely. Good value, well made.

This doesn't grip your instrument in any way, so if you knock into it, you can knock the trumpet off kilter. But it's a way to get it onto the wall and out of the way when not in use. There's a foam covering to keep from scratching the horn. I'd suggest installing it into a stud, just to be safe, and ignore the wall plugs that come with it.
