Anyone that wires a generator transfer switch knows that 100% of the normal house current must run through the bus of the transfer switch at all times. Yes even when you’re using power from the utility. Therefore you better get a switch rated for all that current. This switch will handle 100 amps. Is spacious and sturdy. It’s installed and working without a hitch.

This was exactly what I was looking for and is perfect for what I need it to do. When shopping around I saw lots of over priced low AMP switches. This product is very durable and a solid build. The size is perfect for a transfer switch in my garage. Just wish it had a lock hole for the top on. So that I can lock the main power on and it can't accidentally be turned off. But it's easy to drill a new hole so not a big deal. It does include a ground screw which is nice. It also shipped faster than I expected.

Time will tell how it carries the load. Terminal size was addiquit. Had to be careful with torx set screws because, in my opinions, the we're to soft of alloy. I also agree with a previous reviewer who was concerned about the knife slot tension. It is in and running as expected, wait and see.However, at this time, I would buy again because, the only other option I know of is to upgrade to a 200 amp unit.

I needed a manual power transfer switch for my portable generator to power essential circuits in my home in the event of extended power failures during tropical storms. I could not find what I needed locally at the Big Box stores!! Naturally I went to an online search and here it is on Amazon. This is a basic manually operated power transfer switch, which I needed and could not find. Everyone else had automatic transfer switches which would not work for me and were a lot more expensive. This box was large enough to manage my heavy wires and works perfectly. Shipment was from Puerto Rico but arrived in just a couple days, I was impressed, and it is Eaton and made in the U.S. of A!!!

Came as described, service entrance use. Arm was a little bent when delivered but I typically blame that on the delivery service.
