Ok, they're not a thick as those rubber ones that are smaller and cost twice as much but also not as thin as I feared they might be based on some reviews since they are a non-woven fabric that is admitted to be degradeable. They are like a thick-ish, stiff felt like material. Thin enough to be easily cut with sturdy scissors but sturdy. Perfect for my use...I am trying to control some small bushes that spread by the lower branches layering/rooting into the soil. The rings topped with mulch should make controlling that rooting much easier...at least for several years.

Quick delivery, well folded into a small package, no damage, easy to cut-to-fit around different sized tree trunks with house scissors. However, the material is very thin. I was concerned about the products ability to prevent weeds and "suckers" from growing around the trunk. So, I used two [2] layers of the mulch rings at each tree, being sure to offset the "split" in each ring so as to have no gaps. I used "a lot" of 6" long steel staples [see Amazon] to hold the mulch rings in place, and then mulched heavily, but not up to, nor on, the tree trunk itself. If the rings last a few years, I'll be happy face.Dave@Texas

These weed barrier circles were a lot thicker and nicer than I thought for the price. We ended up reordering them. We plant a lot of food producing trees and shrubs, and these help to keep the weeds down and the ground moist. We bought the 2 foot diameter size for trees and shrubs.

I liked the overall construction, but wow they are thin. They should have came with metal stakes to pin them down! You’re gonna need mulch to go on top of them ! ? Durability, extremely thin. Time well tell !

Seem to work well. Need to be weighted down. Arrived on time. Reasonable price.

I have made a number of mistakes buying stuff on amazon, but these are the WORST. think a tree skirt is a round thick mass that will keep weeds from growing up under your tree? YOU'D BE WRONG!these are 1 mm thick pieces of black cloth that the grass will just push up, if the breeze doesn't blow them away first.i bought these because i needed four-- and they were at least a month late- DO NOT BUY! YOU'LL BE SORRY!

These work great to keep moisture around my plants and trees and to help me from cutting into them when I weed eat.

I thought these would be much thicker. I will find a use for them someplace, as I don't like to do returns.

Stiff material that makes it difficult to lay down .however it also keeps the grass from growing under it..for now.

Worked well for our trees. You have to put a heavy rock on it or anchor them some way or the wind will blow them away

blew off the tree base even with straw on it, did not stop weed growth at all. better off with biomass wood chips and straw.
