Update: Company reached out to me and send another set of batteries right away. The new batteries are working great. I can comment on longevity. But I'm updating the rating based on the excellent customer sSo, I have a pair of Midland walkie talkies. They either take 4 AA batteries or a battery pack. I decided to give the battery packs a try. I installed them and put the devices in the charging cradle. Initially, both charged right up, and we were able to use with no problem. Last week, I put the devices back in their cradle and one lid up, signifying it was charging. The other did not. I put AA batteries into the one that would not charge, and it fired right up. So, I know it's the battery. I's a shame as eventually, the return on investment by using the battery packs as opposed to AA batteries, would have been pretty quick.

I ordered a pair for my Midland radios but one was dead on arrival and would not charge. There was some mix-up with the post office and Amazon was never notified of the delivery so I could not return through Amazon but had to contact IBL directly. They were extremely helpful. I really only wanted one replacement battery but apparently they they only ship in pairs so now I have a spare. We'll see about longevity but the IBL customer service was first-rate.

I put these in a pair of 12 year old midland radios. One of which would not hold a charge at all. Both are now working and charging again.

Bought these to have as spares for my Midland walkie talkies. These batts are great! First, they are black. Not pink or yellow, but a manly macho black color. Second, they fit my Midland walkie talkies. Third they hold a charge like a battery should. Just pop them in, plug them in, and voila - they are charged. Fourth, they are not too heavy, not too light, they are just right and they have a meaty manly feel to them, these are not sissy batteries, no sir-ee. Bought 2 pack. One would not charge at all, and heated up in the charging process. Will return this item.
