I used this with a 48v pv system that is rated at 1.2kw. Charging a 12v battery bank, the wires get REALLY hot. So make sure if you are charging a 12v system you have the thickest wires you can cram in those terminals. For 60 amps charging output, you'd need at least 6awg. However, I highly doubt that would fit in the terminals. I've been able to fit 8awg battery connectors in the terminals. Other reviews have mentioned 10, But when charging, the biggest size is best. 8 is probably the maximum. So this little charger works great for some modest 12v set ups, and slightly less modest 48v battery setups. Just keep in mind that lower voltage battery banks need more amps, and that little port can only handle so much. There is a thermometer that plugs into it. Maybe I didn't read the instructions, but I can't seem to find where the reading on the thermometer shows? Likewise after stress testing the thermometer with some heat, it doesn't seem to shut off or impact charging at all.If you are using a couple hundred watts of load on your 12v batteries, this does absolutely fine. Its a solid unit. If you are powering an inverter, be careful. Too much power draw and you'll cook the little wires that fit in the terminal.I believe this is capable of charging a 48v battery bank. That would be far more appropriate given the terminal sizes.

I bought this solar charge controller after going through a couple of cheap PWM controllers for the solar panels providing power to the battery in my woodshed (for lights and speakers). The cheap ones worked in the summer, but in the PNW winters, the charge controllers were not producing enough power to get my battery charged back up in the daytime. Plus the last one I tried was very inaccurate. This controller was a dramatic change. Nearly identical readings for the battery voltage compared to my multimeter, and the amps being produced matched what my clamp meter was showing.I was looking for an inexpensive controller that could use my two 100 watt panels to keep the woodshed battery charged, as well as showing the amps being produced and the amps being used. This controller fits the bill at the right price point. This controller is also programmable, as you can set the cutoff point for the load (which I wanted to protect the battery from getting drawn below 50%).Forget the cheap controllers for less than $20. This is the best PWM controller I've found. The next jump would be to an MPPT controller, but those will cost at least $50 more. Some have commented that the terminals are too small for the wires--they are a little small, but they work with the cables that come with the solar panels. I didn't try to wrap the wire around the screw, but just loosened the screw as far as I could without it coming out and poked the wire along one side of the screw and tightened it back down. Worked fine for all 6 wires.

Works very well for my six hundred watt system. Have been using it for a year and it is doing its job well. The company Itself is very responsive and extremely helpful.

The unit seems fine when handling 12-24v load and batteries. When I use 48v LIFEPO4 battery, the load shows 48-52v for a few days, then the unit breaks down and produce 27v-32v on the LOAD side even though the battery is fully charged at 53v.I thought it was just one unit so I switched it out for another. Again, after a few days of use, it becomes defective on the load side. This happened already to all 3 of my charge controller. So it is not one unit. If I use 24v LIFEPO4, this works just fine.

Worked for 9 months, has 1 yr warranty, but they won't respond, although they claim they will respond in 24 hrs they do not!****************UPDATE********************They did try to contact me, but it was pushed to spam, they are going to honor their warranty and send out a new one, hopefully lasts longer I will update later.8-17-24****************UPDATE********************8-25-24got the replacement in 3 days, it worked for about 1 day and now keeps showing error.****************UPDATE********************9-4-24Customer service has been great trying to help me resolve the issue with the charger, So far apparently my electrician who wired the system wired 6 100 watt panels all in parallel and the controller was overheating. It has been suggested to me by tech support I should have wired the 3 panels in series to create 2 separate banks then combine the 2 banks parallel to the controller. So far for 2 days every thing has functioned normal. I will post an update if that has resolved the issues.

This is a useful MPPT controller. It does what it states and I love that it can do several voltages in different applications. I don’t have to buy another controller if I change from 48v to 12v.

Looks like s great product. Good price, fast delivery, but I bought this product by accident. I returned it to get an MPPT solar control charger.

I found it interesting that with the charge controller set to lithium iron phosphate, there is no PWM. Just voltage correction from solar panel voltage to 14.6 volt output. Charge control function is dependant on internal to battery BMS. ( As described in manual if I looked before I bought it) Above you can see the result of this controller and a good MPPT unit. Attached the MPPT unit just a few seconds after eco worthy,so same conditions same panel. MPPT gave 13.92v at 4.1 amps for 59 watts. The eco worthy gave 13.8 volts at 2.4 amps. For 33.1 watts. That is to be expected, nothing wrong with the eco worthy. It is a clean little unit. USB is nice. Load control is configurable and works well intuitive display. Very happy with the purchase.

Arrivato nei tempi previsti.Ottimo prodotto, unica cosa da migliorare la morsettiera che si rompe facilmente appena si stringe un pò in particolare con i cavi da 6 mmq. Problema risolto saldando i cavi alla scheda.

This will not act as an on/off switch unless you have a 12V battery hooked up to it. If you turn it off when you’re done with your appliance (a pump to water the garden in my case) the appliance will turn off, but when the sun goes down the controller dies, and in the morning your appliance will come on. I should have just purchased a switch at the hardware store for my needs. The interface is not easy, and the double tap feature confuses double taps with two single taps. It works, but it could be better

For solar panel with my motorhome. Good sturdy, well built. Had some trouble understanding how to get to a certain area on monitor.

Was late arriving and I needed it. Meantime Eco-Worthy , battery supplier, advertised lower price by 40.00. I received return approval only to find I had to pay postage and insurance!! This amounted to nearly 30.00 or almost half or purchase price. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. Great product but don't recommend supplier

This device didn’t work from day 1, trips every 2-5 minutes, then resets, repeats. Factory issue. Don’t buy it. Replaced with different make, happy now.
