The Edelbrock Performer Square Bore Air Valve Secondary Manual Choke New Carburetor features a two-piece, all-aluminum construction for cooler operating temperatures and less warping. It is designed and calibrated for good street performance and fuel economy in 402 CID and larger engines with the Edelbrock Performer manifolds. There are no gaskets below the fuel bowl level for fewer leaks and no plastic parts or power valves to blow out. The Performer manual choke carburetor includes both timed and full vacuum ports for ignition advance. The carburetors use easily changed metering rods for precise tuning. The Edelbrock Performer covers the replacement or repair of the product only and does not cover the cost of removal and installation.

Designed and calibrated for optimum street performance in small-block and some big-block engines. Match with a variety of manifolds that include Edelbrock Performer, Performer EPS, Performer RPM, RPM Air-Gap, Torker II and other brands of similar design. Includes both timed and full vacuum ports for ignition advance. Electric choke can be added if needed. Comes with: Metering Jets Primary .100, Secondary .095; Metering Rods .070 x .047; Step-Up Spring orange (5" Hg). Use our Carb Studs if needed.

Ive used holley’s in the past and nothing beats an edelbrock carb. Last carb i had was a edelbrock 1407. Downgraded to a 1405 600cfm. i have it on a chevy 454 and this thing woke it up. Old carb was 14 years old. Never rebuilt it. Never adjusted anything on it but the air/fuel screws and idle. I did exactly the same with this 1405. My truck is daily driven so i was trying to be more conservative on fuel. But this thing out performs the bigger 750 cfm carb. Bigger is not always better.

The carburetor had great instructions and gave part numbers for adapters that were needed for the throttle and has a great booklet to help adjust the carburetor
