Your cart is empty.The Edelbrock Metering Rods are designed for use with the Edelbrock Performer Series and Thunder Series AVS carburetors only and not with any other brands. These metering rods allow you to fine-tune your carburetor for optimum performance and are used to control the air/ fuel mixture. Since metering rods are available with different step combinations, it is possible to independently alter the air/fuel ratio for both cruise and power modes with a single rod change. The small area at the tip of the rod is the power step and the thicker area next to it is the cruise step with a dimension of 0. 073 x 0. 042. These rods can be changed in seconds by removing the single hold-down screw and are sold as a pair.

My truck was running pig rich with a Edelbrock 1905 650cfm straight out of the box, so I needed to lean it out a bit. Obviously I went through the normal steps of tuning the carb and checking the step up springs etc and the next move was metering rods and possibly a re-jet of the carb. I took a few minutes and researched the edelbrock help pages and boom found the chart that shows leaning info. Matched up the % I wanted to lean out in comparison to power etc and ordered these rods.2 days later they were in my hand and on their way to the truck. Popped them in and could most definitely tell a difference with the truck being leaned out and getting the correct amount of fuel at the right times.

The rods and jets had no id# for identification . The springs have no color code to identify them. All items look the same and must be paired up.They are completely useless and should be taken off the market
