Use the right size which means you need to know which one you're going to use and how they work. Research and find instructions on how to determine which ones to use. When I removed my old Springs I noticed that they were shorter than everyone of the new ones. This just confuses me and now I wonder if my carburetor even had the right spring to begin with. I have had great results with the NewSpring so I am very happy I bought it. The only difficulty with the new Springs is sometimes it's hard to determine their color but get yourself a bright light and you will be able to.

Tried the accelerator pump adjustment first. Top notch for quickest squirt on intial acceleration. Natural spring was the ticket. Running 20lbs of vacuum. If there was a heavier spring I would have put it in.

Saw a YouTube video saying that the yellow springs can add up to 4 miles per gallon in fuel efficiency. Have not installed but will update later. Edelbrock is always great! I have the AVS2 1906 650cfm electric choke carb

My truck had a stumble off idle ever since I put an Edelbrock 1406 on. I thought the problem was ignition timing but that was dead on, so I kept fiddling with it for a few months. Then I found these and decided for $10 it was worth a shot. Measured my engine vacuum in drive and and got 17 in hg. Divide that by two and get 8.5 then put in the closest spring to that value, which is the natural color spring (8 in hg). The stumble is completely gone now! Hope this makes sense and helped somebody.

When you get the knock-offs (I found in a carb I bought on E-bay) , you WILL mix up in your head which are which unless you pay attention to the physical xteristics of the springs. With color versions, you know immediately what you are doing. Good price for ease of operation.

Was able to tune the bog right out of the carburetor, follow the tuning guide that comes with your carb!

It's a good kit , but the color of the springs fades in gas , so not a great way to identify them after use , also when you remove the ones in the carb it's hard to say what they may have been , also for the money they should add a few more selections ,
