Your cart is empty.The Edelbrock Open Phenolic Carburetor Spacers are used where more plenum volume or more carburetor-to-plenum floor distance is required. It allows you to space your carburetor above the intake flange to increase plenum area for more torque and horsepower. This high-tech, open, black, phenolic carburetor spacer is 2 inch thickness and can withstand extreme temperatures. It enhances low RPM torque and throttles response and dampens reversion effects on the carburetor. The phenolic plastic construction provides superior heat insulating properties and reduces heat transfer to the carburetor.

doesn't exactly win fashion award on my engine, but for my 400 hp sbc 350 it seems to have solved my temp/empty filter bulb/ back pressure/ vapor/ fuel pressure issues almost completely. the shield does well to deflect radiation while the spacer isolates the carb wonderfully. Now after an hour drive, instead of boiling my fuel, my carb literaly has condensation dripping off it and is cool to the touch. not only that but both the intake and even the air filter cover is hot to the touch and the carb is just chillin in the middle, like a nice cool carb sandwich . these 2 mods along with some insulation and rerouting has made a massive improvement.
