We have an area of newly planted grass that is about 40' x 30'. We decided on the sprinkle that is supposed to cover about 5,000 sq. ft. and the area we needed to cover is about 1200 sq. ft. Although this sprinkler does cover the area we want it to cover, for us, it would not cover the advertised area. This is probably due to the fact that we have well water and the water pressure is likely not as strong as it might be in a residential area with city water. Depending on where you live, water pressure may be a concern for you.So, what do we like about this sprinkler?1 - It looks to be more heavy duty than sprinklers we have had in the past. It isn't heavy but has enough weight that it doesn't move once placed.2 - There are 3 buttons on each side that can open or close 3 of the nozzles on each side to lessen the width of the spray. This is much easier that this adjustment on previous sprinklers.3 - This sprinkler includes a tool to unclog nozzles should they become clogged that is kept handy at one end of the sprinkler. Most do not include this tool.4 - The length of the spray can easily be adjusted with a dial on the sprinkler. This is so much easier to use than the cumbersome adjustment levers we had on other sprinklers.5 - It has a dial to adjust water pressure to save water if you happen to have more water pressure than it needs. For us, we had to completely open the adjustment since our water pressure isn't the greatest.The only feature this sprinkler doesn't have that previous sprinklers have had is an automatic shutoff when a measured amount of water was dispersed. Whether or not this was accurate, who knows, but you could set the sprinkler to shut off automatically after it dispersed 1" (or more) of water for the area it was covering. Since we have this sprinkler connected to a timer, this isn't a concern for us.Overall, this sprinkler does everything we want it to do, has the adjustments for watering coverage, and covers the area we need it to cover. You just need to keep in mind that the water pressure available to you may not allow for the advertised coverage. For our purpose, we very much like this sprinkler, and I would recommend it.I hope this review was helpful for you.

It's plastic so you have to be somewhat careful not to break it. But I really like all the controls-Width of the spray, as well as length. Less water wasted unnecessarily.Works well.

This sprinkler covers a large area as advertised. There are three ways to adjust it. The standard way that all sweeper style sprinklers have is the adjust it to be full or partial left to right sweep and on some sprinklers adjusting that can be stiff. On this sprinkler the adjustments for sweep have large handles and are easy to use. The second way this sprinkler adjusts is with knob marked +/- . It has a similar effect as turning the water down and is easy to use. The third adjustment is the the three spray holes on each end have a button that you can push to stop water from that end. You can easily reduce the width of the sweep on one or both sides.

Ok, so if you leave it outside exposed to the UV, you will not get more than 2 years use of it. But, I turn it upside down or bring it in my garage after use. Love the control you have on it. (How much water pressure you want, and how wide you need). I have a big yard, and it does very well for covering a big portion of it. Very well made for plastic.

Our old metal Melnor sprinkler quit oscillating so I bought this to replace it. Based on Amazon ratings, this sprinkler was better (had higher ratings) than the Melnor. The first time my wife used it, she complained that it did not have the oscillating range of the old Melnor, making it more difficult to sprinkle certain areas of our yard. I would not buy this again.

As soon as I took this out of the box I was very disappointed. It is cheap, light flimsy plastic.I thought for 40 odd pounds, it would be solid plastic if not metal. Tried it once and I can pee further and I'm a girl, go figure! Immediately returned.
