Easy Installation
- Turn Off the Dryer: Ensure the dryer is turned off and unplugged for safety.
- Locate the Lint Screen: The lint screen is usually found at the top of the dryer’s door opening or in the dryer door itself.

It fit! It's an exact duplicate (well not really an exact dupe since the style on the edges is a little different but most important that doesn't affect the fit one itoa- it fits like a glove, filling up the same space as before. It inserts and removes easily.I cannot speak for the function since I haven't re-assembled the dryer with the new two or three component parts I got for it (It wasn't heating so I needed a new flame sensor that failed it's continuity test) and of course the thermal fuse that always goes first, as a response to a failed component(s).I also have to put the drum and belt back in of course. I'm no expert repair man but I did research and figured it out.The great thing about these old Whirlpool dryers is that they are simple to diagnose and fix (famous last words; we shall see what happens!) But I hope not to have to buy one of those poor quality new ones that is computerized to boot- I HATE those with a passion. Especially since I know darn well that manual components and separate component parts are so much better. And way less expensive to replace!

I was for sure that it was cheap junk with a flimsy frame and cheap nylon screen. I was wrong for misjudging this and jumping to conclusions. It's sturdy with metal screen and fits my dryer perfectly.
