First time using and a bit intimidated putting them together because of the force needed to connect. But just wiggle and push at the same time! You can use a mallet for the final tweaking to set flush.

I've been stitching for ever and I've used every type of hoop style out there. I decided to try these bars on one of my last projects and it was the best thing ever! I love that I can get whatever size for my project and that it will fit perfectly. I also love that I won't have anymore hoop marks on my fabric (that always drove me nuts). I went and purchased every size they make, lol. They're sturdy and easy to assemble.
