This is perfect for shelling nuts. No more hand tool cracking. This tool makes cracking nuts easy. Bought it for pecans but can be used on any nut needing shelled. The only thing I would improve would be the wood base. A hardwood would be better.

My mother loves pecans. She was given a lot of them and needed an easy way the crack/shell them. I purchased this and she has been using it without any issues. It definitely makes pecan shelling easier. As far as the other items that came with it, she hasn't even touched them, lol.

the rivets seem a little weak/light duty not sure it will hold up using a bunch

Love it I’ve got 15 pounds of walnuts I have worked through 4 pounds so far! works like a charm does not crush walnuts keeps them mostly whole easy to use. I have not a lot of strength in my right hand and I’m not having any problem using this..

I had a whole bag of pecans that I was trying to crack. The tedious process was made so easy with this tool. This is smaller than the one I used to have, and I was worried the handle wouldn't provide enough leverage to work, but it's great. With a simple turn, it can be adjust to exactly the right size for the nuts you are trying to crack.
