I am 84 years old and cook a lot so you know I must have had at least six egg slicers in my life. This is the only one that doesn't break after a couple of uses. It will cut the egg into the usual slices OR into segments, or both simultaneously by the position of the blades. Itwashes up well in the dishwasher, too.

The is the perfect egg slicer. The material and quality is great. It's not plastic, it's metal. I love that it has two different slice sizes that are easily accessible without having two separate attachments. Hands down the best one I bought. And I had tried others which had to be returned.

Here again, a lot of reviews on this were bad, so I was a little hesitant to buy it. But upon receiving it and using it to slice boiled eggs it works fine. I could see that if you try slicing a really really hard-boiled egg you might have some problem, because the cutting is accomplished with stainless steel wires, not blades. And the wire isn't really, really thin because thin wires would break more easily. So, a really hard-boiled egg that is forcefully attempted to be sliced could/will possibly end up breaking loose the stainless steel wires. This is one of those things you have to use some common sense with. When you meet a lot of resistance in slicing through a hard, hard-boiled egg, you either go slow and easy or you use a knife.

This is a very good egg slicer. The wires seem to be sturdier than what I have experienced otherwise. However, that said, it does not have the capacity to slice a jumbo egg lengthwise, which I prefer for toast.

I used this product one time. The first time when I cut a hard boiled egg it was amazing. I was so thrilled that my cutting would now be easy to do. Unfortunately, the second time I tried to cut a hard boiled egg. (mind you these were peeled, hard, boiled eggs) it snapped two of the pieces of metal and now the product is unusable. I am super unhappy as it took me a month to get the motivation to use it and now my return window is closed. Do not purchase the scam of a product. If you value your money it is the worst possible outcome I could’ve had from any product except for the pieces of metal shooting into my eyeballs.

This little egg slicer works perfect on eggs, but it also works on fruits very well also. Sliced strawberries for that strawberry shortcake… Yes it’ll do it! It’ll even do soft cheeses for that charcuterie board you’re looking for. But for me, it’s mainly eggs I like to slice them on way then slice them the other way to put in my salads. This little thing is also very heavy duty. I had purchased a plastic one a while back and the wires popped loose very quickly. So all in all this little heavy duty egg slicer should be one you look at before buying a plastic one!

Great egg slicer. It’s very hardy and feels substantial being made of strong metal and hard plastic. The hard plastic support that holds your egg, is very supportive. I use large eggs so it’s a good fit and the egg doesn’t move. I’ve only used the slicing function as that’s why I bought it. The slices are very thin compared to the last two cutters I had, but you can use 2 slices together if needed, however it makes them more delicate. I use them in my CrimpIt wrap so thinner is better. There is no struggles with the wires either so it’s a very clean cut. My last two were cheap plastic. Only the wires were metal, but they weren’t very strong. I’m really pleased with it. The metal seems to be chrome or chrome plated so I’m having to make sure I dry the metal properly and polish it before closing it up and putting it away just to avoid any corrosion. Compared to my last ones which could either dry naturally or a quick wipe over and I knew if they were a bit damp when putting away, they’d be fine. They are not the easiest of things to dry. That’s the only downside and maybe the wires could be placed a little bit wider so the slices are a bit more substantial and not so easy to break. Apart from that I’m very pleased. It’s a great piece of kit.
