Good for strawberries, boiled eggs, white button mushrooms. I cut the larger mushrooms before slicing them. Works great! So far blades holding up.

My daughter has taken to adding sliced strawberries to her yogurt and the method she was using before was messy and took more time. So I started looking into getting her a egg slicer since I had heard from America's Test Kitchen that they can be used for so much more. But all I could find were plastic ones that people said broke or the wires bent after minimal use.I went down a rabbit hole because I didn't want to spend a lot just to have it break after a couple of large berries. I was hesitant when I found this one, but it was highly rated and the price was okayish. But it works really well and she has been using it daily for months. The wires are still stick straight. I even sent it with her to college. It is metal, so if you close it quickly it will clang loudly and the wires tend to really hold onto strawberries, but overall we really like it.

This is a nice heavy duty slicer. I don’t think it will break like my old one did. Nice black color easy to find in my drawer. Very easy to hand wash and clean or pop in the dishwasher.
