I fry eggs regularly and was looking to reduce the amount of oil I use (seems healthier and saves money in the process) so I bought this. It looks small but holds a lot (insert Michael Scott joke here). The eggs are perfectly poached for those who like runny yolks after about six minutes. After about eight to 10, the yolks are hard. The eggs slide out easily and leave no residue (though I rub the cups with a minuscule amount of butter to facilitate the non-stick process). After the cooking process, I usually just grab onto the plastic holder at the top of the cups and turn them upside down — the eggs simply plop out. Another plus is this product takes up very little space. Solid product.

This adorable Egg Poaching caddy is the perfect replacement for the plastic egg poaching tray that came with my Oroton Egg Cooker. I chose this particular cooker because it is mostly stainless steel, except for the egg poaching tray which is plastic. I found this perfect non-stick egg poaching caddy with two cups that fits perfectly inside my egg cooker, even when storing it between uses. It measures about 6.5 inches across. The individual cups are non stick, but it doesn't hurt to hit them with a bit of butter or cooking spray. Even without using any butter or spray, the eggs popped right out of the cups. The little black plastic handles are easy to grasp for removing the cups from the caddy. For semi hard cooked poached eggs, I set the timer between 14 and 15 minutes. Great little gadget, and a must-have for the egg enthusiast.

I've tried many egg poachers and this is the one that works for me. It's well made, doesn't rust and easy to use. If you are only poaching one or two eggs and want to use a regular pot, this is a very good solution.

I used it immediately upon delivery because I had purchased two different things so I wanted to see if the cheaper item worked so I could return the other. The cups were bigger than the pan I had bought and it was easy to find a pan for the item to sit in to cook. Took less than 5 minutes and the egg was perfect. Sprayed the cup and the egg came right out after I tipped it over. I know I have read reviews of some of these egg poaching pans where people complain the coating comes off, etc. This was so inexpensive that if that happens, no big deal. (I am still trying to scour antique shops for what my Mom had because I think they were bigger cups, so maybe I will find one before it peels if it is going to.) I think it's because people don't care for them properly and maybe put the cups in the dishwasher. If you prep the cup right, you don't really have much - if any - cleanup to do after use, so it's no problem to wash by hand. I would recommend this - especially considering the price is so low.

Sometime a few months ago I realized how much I love poached eggs. But I've never liked the process of doing them in water as it's messy and you lose a lot of that great egg white protein. So I looked for a poacher and found this. I've gone from rarely having a poached egg to once a day! It works great in a little saute pan that I have with a lid that fits perfectly over it. The suggestions about not boiling the water so that it doesn't splash, etc are all very good. It is non-stick but I learned today the egg doesn't unstick easily in the cup only. Everytime until today I have put a little dab of butter (forgot today) in each egg cup and the eggs have come out easily and perfectly. I thought that was mostly due to the non-stick. It's partially due to the non-stick. If you want the egg to slide out easily and the cup easy to clean, put a little dab of butter, oil, olive would be yummy, in before the egg to give it that little extra. I like that I can make one egg or four! Highly recommend!

I have never made poached eggs before. Really like eggs benny so thought I would try this. It works great. Cups are big enough for even XL eggs. I give a quick spray of non-stick. 5 mins is just the right cooking time for us once the water is ready in the pan. They pop out easily. Comes with a little instruction booklet. Should have had one of these years ago.

A fabulous add-on to any pan. I’ve had perfect soft poached eggs every time. No mess, just a quick rinse and dry the moulds after. Results and taste depends on the quality of the eggs. I go 5 minutes from the boil then remove and leave 1 minute before tipping/tapping out. Highly recommended and user instructions are excellent.
