I’m so happy with this purchase. Really a neat kit since mine came with shrink tubing too. I used this kit to repair my late fathers 1976 vintage CB antenna for use on my modern Cobra 18 WC ST CB. Worked perfect!! This cb cable had lost its connector years ago and after following the install directions from the YouTube channel Ham Radio Tube and his video for install for a crimped PL259 connector and the result is a perfect working antenna. I read a negative review where someone said this kit didn’t work with RG58 but this kit fit my RG58 marked cable like a glove. I couldn’t be happier. See attached pic of my connector. I used a harbor freight heat gun on the low setting to perfectly shrink the tubing. And an Amazon soldering iron for the inner core line soldered to the ferrule tube. I used the yellow setting on my Dorman crimpers to create a perfect crimp. The end result was hauling in a lot of CB traffic, NOAA weather stations, and even the crazies on Channel 6.

Works just perfect for RG400 but I had no luck with RG8X. Connectors look nice and of good quality.

These connectors are very well made. The threads are very clean and sharp. I have used many and so far no faulty connections. I plan to buy more. The crimp connection holds tight. Although I have direct no evidence I would not be surprised if these were not the same connectors I have seen at hamfests for $5 each.

I have crimped allot of cable and you would think that Eightwood RG400 cable would fit Eightwood Pl259 RG400 connectors. These connector sleeves are a bit too small. I wasted more cable trying to get them to fit together and never did get a cable made. Going back to Times Microwave Systems supplies. Yea they are a bit more money but never had any trouble with them. You get what you pay for.

Very easy to use and install. I watched a guy on you tube and had no issues. I prefer the crimps versus the screw on but that's my choice. If you have the crimp tool, I highly recommend

These connectors are good quality but I will not be using them right away as I miss read the description when I orderd them and I was looking for connectors for RG 8 cable and these are for RG 58 and wont work on my cable but I will use them when I m working with RG 58 cable.
