not only is this product difficult and obnoxious to assemble, it’s horribly flimsy and falls apart at the slightest bit of pressure. i can barely pick it up to change it’s position without it popping loose, i can’t imagine if i tried to let a cat in it.thought i was purchasing the one within platforms but they did not come with it, and i haven’t yet determined if that was a mistake of mine due to the images used or a fault on their end. it be fact that zipties are part of the assembly should’ve been my warning not to try this, but i did anyway.

I bought this so my cats can enjoy the breeze while bird watching in a safe environment. They absolutely love it. It was easy to put together. It is sturdy. We recently had winds and it did not move. You can put the doors in different spots. I have two opening at the front of the catio so I can go inside and another opening that I attached to the doggie door with a tunnel. I highly recommend this if you're looking for an easy and affordable way to give your cats the outdoors while keeping them safe. I do plan to add screen to the bottom before spring to keep out pest. I found while putting this together you can actually make it taller with the parts you have or do it the way I did.

So this was a chore to put together but my ADHD loved it. When together it is super large, in the highest part I can stand in it which was what I wanted. May actually get another smaller set to make it taller through the whole kennel.I had to use 4 panels from another set to complete this to the size/shape I wanted (the clear pannels seen in picture)For the record I help run a cat rescue and this kennel is for my in-home fosters. There are other regular kennels in the edges of the picture for isolation and recovery.Cons:*This is NOT the kennel for you if you have cats that desperately want out but perfect for my momma cat, her sister, and the 4 little babies to comfortably have enough room. A cat that -really- wants out of this could bust it open or even pull up the bottom if they tried really hard.*Doors are small and the clips they come with are terrible. I ended up ditching the clips and using clips made for power cord storage. Velcro straps would also work well.*I thought when buying the bigger set it would come with the shelves but it did not. The description was not very clear. Side bonus though, it's big enough to put a rather big cat tree in!*Sooooo many zip ties. I didn't use them all, only reinforcing the bottom edge and at spots where it was clearly not connecting well.*doors, even when made to be tall, are not easy to get in and out of. I'm a fairly small person and it's still a bit of a struggle to get in and out and pull the litterbox out to clean.Pros:*Super easy to clean in general.*Roomy! This thing is tall and big and perfect for multiple cats*it takes up space without feeling like it's dominating the room. This is harder to explain... it takes up about a 4th of my small kitten room but the way it's made doesn't feel like a bulky cage so the room doesn't feel closterphobic.*It did take me a long time to put together but it's so versatile! Can be made to fit in any space and even make turns and tunnels if you like. I love that I can change it to suit the needs of the cats inside or the confines of the room.*Can buy other sets and use to make the enclosure even bigger!

It took a few hours to assemble because of all the parts, but less time than assembling a Lego millennium falcon. Despite hammering all the pieces tight and using all the available zip ties, the final structure is still flimsy and will move if your cat headbutts or climbs the sides. The “doors†are held closed with plastic clips that can be difficult to undo especially if your hands are numb after all the hammering and zip tying. However, this can be remedied by installing your own latch or clips. The stability can also be improved by anchoring or staking the bottom pieces to the floor.
