Sulfur is a popular mineral that forms as a soft precipitate near volcanic vents and springs. This bright yellow mineral has a distinct smell and unusual streak color. Ideal for identification & classification exercises. Great for students learning about streak tests - sulfur leaves an unexpected white streak.
While each specimen will vary slightly in shape, size and color, it will measure approximately 1" in length. Set is packaged in a transparent bag, labeled & barcoded for easy identification and storage.

The specimen is fine except some fragmenting. If they know a material is relatively soft (sulfer is 2.0 on the Mohs scale), shipping it in a regular Amazon bubble mailer doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Its a great way to visualize and show people what sulfur looks like in person. It came in fast so nothing to complain about. The box is quite powdery but i just threw it out anyways.
