Polypropylene plastic Büchner Funnel is both light weight and autoclavable. The funnel is in two parts; the top portion can be fitted with the lower one, forming a vacuum seal which does not require greasing. Base of top portion has a perforated filter plate. Designed for filter paper from 11cm to 12.5cm diameter (not included).

I love this funnel! Large capacity 2-part polyethylene perforated plate Buchner funnel is easy to clean and works amazingly when paired with the right Erlenmeyer vacuum flask and appropriate vac pump. A+

These funnels are specified to use a specific size filter but they do not perfectly fit the specified size and then next size may be too small (haven’t tried it). There’s a small lip at the base of the funnel rendering the recommended size a couple mm too large. This isn’t a problem for my application because I take my finger and run a crease along the rim while holding the apposing edge. I then wet the filter under vacuum. This is enough to allow a fair seal for fast filtrate mediums. The reason this edge is there is to allow quick change of the top section of funnel due to a required overlap of the lower base section. Functional but a bit misleading if you require a great seal. The ‘quick change’ feature is well worth it for my application.

Material has high grade appearance. Molding quality is quite good. The funnel just does what it's supposed to do.

Great but not vacuum tight. I super glued the cap togeather and it works just fine and you can't break it? I'd say a 4/5 because it doesn't fit any paper correctly.. but nothing scissors can't fix!
