Just screw the pole into the base and get the family together for feats of strength and airing of grievances this Festivus! Although a Festivus pole is traditionally aluminum, I find the very high strength to weight ratio of this pole to be more than adequate. I chose not to install the clamps as I find tinsel distracting.

This stand is quite sturdy and easy to use. It has a large range of adjustments that are perfect for a separatory funnel, and holds one quite well. I'll be honest, it's better than I expected it would be!

My father has esophagus cancer and had to end up getting a feeding tube. He has done nothing but complain that it takes too long to do feedings via the feeding tube and does only 2 feedings a day (2 together twice a day) because heaven forbid he might miss out on smoking a cigarette or watching a game on tv. Was hoping that if I bought this, he would do the recommended amount (5) and do one about every 2 hours which would be a lot better for him and possibly give him a tad bit of energy. Figured this way he could still watch tv and smoke his damn cigarettes and stop bitching that it takes too long to use the feeding tube. Well, he said it works great but he still just does his 2 feedings a day because he refuses to do anything that will actually help him. Bought this so he could bring it with him out to the living room and even outside on the patio, but he still only does the feedings in the kitchen so he still won't do anymore feedings which would help him out immensely.Bottom line, great for those with feeding tubes as long as they are not too damn stubborn.

These are not of the pharmaceutical or professional laboratory quality but they are perfect for middle school demonstrations. My only negative, which is minor, is the cork on the test tube holder. I would prefer high temp rubber but that not enough to give it one less star. Overall, I’m very happy with it and I was a pharmaceutical laboratory chemist.

I use this for pour over coffee and it is super handy. I have various pour over contraptions and this tool holds them all nice and steady at whatever height I like. It turns out the best pour over contraption is no pour over contraption. What I mean is that if you take a wet chemex filter and binder clip it on both sides of the ring and use only that to filter the pour over coffee, you will maintain consistent heat throughout your pour, certainly moreso than using any ceramic, metal or plastic device. Also comes in handy as a third hand for holding strainers or other devices for cooking. Nice solid base that's heavy but not too heavy. And you can always weight to it, attach a cutting board to make it fancy, etc.
