To my wife's dismay, I prefer to use lab glassware for my food preparation tools. I bought this for transferring very hot liquids, and, of course, it works splendidly as long as it is treated as borosilicate glass should be. It is a little larger than I expected, since I think in metric in the kitchen, but that is not a hindrance. Just be aware that the stem is also proportionately large, so it won't fit smaller containers like 30 mL dropper bottles.
