It seems to be well built and it worked as intended. Same as more expensive brands, just cheaper. Length lets it get in awkward spots and feels solid and well designed.

Saved big bucks with this tool vs the name-branded truss rod tools ... very sturdy, not a cheap tool that twists when torqued, and the length is good for getting around headstock string trees. RECOMMENDEDPerfect 3/16" fit.

I make specialized tool kits for specific tasks occasionally.I buy individual tools when I need them for a kit, this was one.It works fine and when you can find a quality brand name tool at a reasonable price that you can keep for a specific task, you can save a lot of time by not having to find appropriate tools each time.I have plenty of general purpose tool sets because I like spares but my specialized kits make specific tasks a pleasure.I highly recommend organizing your life that way for frequent tasks or tasks where access to your tool sets is inconvenient.

I've been buying Eklind for years and love their hex keys in all forms. Still made here in the US, great company, and they put out good tools. I got this 9" version because it happened to be cheaper than the 6" at the time I ordered, but I hacked off the majority of it to make a more convenient wrench for a circular saw blade bolt. These will take plenty of torque before twisting up and I've never ever had one break or spalt...which is one reason I like these better than Bondhus and Wiha. Corners last a long time but that depends somewhat on you as well as the quality/tolerance of the broach in the fasteners.

inserting the rod was never so easy. it stays stiff and snug like a match made in heaven. the red grip is nice grip. should be like a dollar though.
