I have a leathers shop that I own and operate. I am also an inspector for our local natural gas company inspecting new and replacement construction projects so I take a lot of notes, when I started inspecting I made myself and brother, also an inspector, custom tooled field notebook covers. I have a buddy who’s an electrical inspector, he saw mine and asked about it so I made one for him and gifted it to him but wanted to get him a pack of notebooks. Bought him these. The books themselves are well made but seem to have less pages that any other ones I’ve purchased. Not that big of a deal really. They are good quality and they arrived before the time they said they would, would I buy again? Yeah I would.

Used these for years. Older I get the more notes I need to write. Forgot to take my note book (Recycled Firefighter cover) out of my trousers last week and the whole thing went through a wash cycle before I fished it out. Used a blow dryer to separate the pages and put it out in the sun. Cover took a hit but pages held together and ink didn’t run. Pretty tough stuff.

These are a knock-off of the 'Field Notes' notebooks - and while these are more budget-friendly, I find myself getting rid of these and buying the real thing again. The construction, feel, pliability, and strength of field notes notebooks is superior quality. Field Notes is also made in the USA instead of China - I live in the USA and would prefer to support local manufacturing.

Its paper notebooks with staple binding. Not much to screw up here!!! So buy these instead of fancy name brand versions.
