As the title suggests I use these little notebooks for anything and everything. I keep notes, project ideas, lists, workout tracking and more inside of them.I love the versatility of the dot grid layout as I can do everything from jot down reminders to draw a schematic without changing paper. The size is perfect for me, the paper holds up to all sorts of pens and markers without being too thick and they are just functional for my life.

Admittedly, I've only had these for a couple of days, so I can't speak to how well they'll hold up to, say, being carried in a back pocket for a month. But the materials -- the paper and the kraft cover -- feel plenty solid. The books aren't sewn, but are held together by three staples down the spine. The pages aren't perforated to allow easy tearing out. The guide lines on the pages (I bought the lined version) are clear, crisp, and unobtrusive. There's a printed ruler inside the back cover, marked off in inches and 1/16ths, comparing against my steel engineers' rule, the markings are accurate. It's a nice touch; it would be nice to have a centimeter ruler as well, say, on the inside of the front cover. The paper works well with a variety of pens and pencils. It's also fountain pen friendly -- waterman blue with a fairly wet fine nib exhibits neither feathering nor bleed-thru.I'm quite pleased with the purchase and will likely purchase more when these are used.

These notebooks are more reasonably priced than some of the competition, the per page cost is around 4 cent, other brands can be up to 9 cents per page (US cents). I find most of the modern notebooks rather overpriced, so this is somewhat okay. For writing I mostly use a waterman fountain with fine nib and Iroshizuku ink, there is no bleeding through the page and the feel is good and smooth. When I'm not using a fountain pen, I either use a 0.5mm mechanical pencil or a Fisher Bullet Space Pen, both work great as well. The one downside for which I substracted one star: the dot pattern is plain too strong/dark. It gets in the way and is intrusive into the content of the note. I might have to switch to a differently colored ink, but my guess is that all dark inks (dark blue, black, etc.) will have the same issue, so something on the red side of the color wheel might work. I'll probably give that a try at some point. On the other hand, the dot pattern is spaced nicely for writing on every line, something that can't always be said. So, my one wish to the manufacturer: make the dot pattern less intrusive and maybe add an option for 64 instead of 48 pages, than it would be perfect.

I have been using these as a monthly pocket calendar/todo list for 11 months now, and I absolutely love them. I put a date on the top of each page and have 15 or so empty scratch pad pages at the end of each notebook for doodling, notes, or specialized project lists. I have tried many productivity/task tracking apps over the years, and found them all a pain to use and would eventually give up on them all. These little books fit in my back pocket, and I pair them with a red-blue-black-multi-pen. I have had the most organized and productive, year of my life, which has allowed be to be less stressed and plan more time for fun projects and trips and stuff... 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Flat while others are spiral bound which doesn't fit in my carry bag well. I have used it when car broke down before and also when leaving messages on windows for others. Also, it is an essential item for the everyday carry bag and working on the farm to write notes.

Tested with my Hongdian Black Forest fountain pen and no visible bleedthrough or ghosting. Very good quality notebook paper well worth the money.

I was thinking it was Field Notes., But they got me. Spur of the moment purchase oh 5 for 15$ sure. But still exactly what I wanted. Nice pocket notebook. Pretty much a carbon copy of Field Notes. This is made in china/England, vs Field Notes made in USA.

I couldn't find the exact gsm of the paper, but I would say it's 80-90 gsm - definitely more than Moleskine's 70 gsm.The paper color is very close to solid white (see image 1, next to a Rhodia at the left, and lying on a white table top). It takes fountain pens quite good (see image 2: hardly any ghosting, just a wee bit of bleed through (negligible). The line spacing is 6,5 mm - giving you 19 lines in a subtle gray tone, plus the double line on top.The kraft cover is sturdy, and the rounded corners are a nice touch.I'm very happy with my purchase, looking forward to using them as my daily journal.

I know that a lot of people who see these pocket notebooks and think that they're a knock off brand of the field books and go on to look for a better solution. However, having used these religiously, I can honestly say these blow most of the competitors out of the water. I got these because I was tired of dealing with books that would constantly explode in my pocket and did an ungodly amount of research. I can say so far, price to quality (and really overall) these are the best in my opinion. They won't explode on you like the cheaper bound versions (I refuse to use flip book or glue bound books for this very reason), the paper takes to ink quite well (unlike riteintherain), the quality of the paper in my opinion is actually better than Moleskine for instance and the covers can take abuse. My only wish is that much like the Cahiers, that they'd have 4-6 pages (8 might be too much) that you could rip out in the back.If you're looking for something rugged, these are your go to books. I am a fulltime infantryman with 14 years in and can honestly say that these have been a game changer for me in sooo many ways and many guys in my section have been converted over with these books. The only thing I would say is that if you're going to be in the field in severely adverse conditions (water crossings, extreme rain), perhaps get yourself a cover for them.9.8/10
