I’m using the hoist to lift rounds on to my splitter. Ample lifting capability, but the brake drags going down.

I was having problems with my 2 Ton full size chian hoist(weighs about 100#) when I was any distance from an outlet due to the extension cord voltage drop and popping a 20A breaker. . Added another trolley and this 660# hoist to the gantry and it doesn't have the voltage problem and really don't lift more than 400# anyway. It's light enough that it isn't a problem removing from the trolley either like the large one which takes 2 people.

Ready to go out of the box, light weight, well made. I would like an option for a longer lifting chain.

I installed this hoist in my attic over my garage. I cut out a hole for the hook to come down over my jeep hard top and whole near the wall for the controller. Using my cargo basket on my jeep I can now lift the hardtop off by myself using this winch!.The hoist works great! it is smooth and works every time. 5 out of 5!
