My son got these for Christmas and he is 6ft (18yrs) and they are great. Even better that you can plug in headphones and not hear it, especially living in an apartment. He enjoys playing on these for fun and to help him learn drums!

The kids love it, headphones can make or break the experience, the ones that come with it are decent for kids. Pretty easy setup. This is my first electric variety, I didn’t feel the symbols were as loud as they should be but it gets the job done. Hoping to hook it up to a stereo via 3.5mm to RCA ( theater reciever accepts that ). Also planning on using Midi connection for games and some learning programs.

My son picked up the drums for marching band and indoor drumline. Piano is his primary instrument, but it's hard to march around carrying a piano. haha.Although an electronic drum kit/set is a little different than full-blown drums, it is much better for us. First, my son can practice with headphones, so you don't really even here him (besides the light tapping sounds you can here from the physical mesh heads). Second, he says the responsiveness feels similar to real drums, and even the sound is quite realistic. Where he notices the biggest difference is when doing really fast rolls or when doing different sounds with the high-had. A physical reverberation on the symbols is different than the digital sounds that come out of the headphones or his amp. Third, these take up less space than a physical drum kit.Anyway, overall this was a great purchase for us. The cost is much lower than some of the other electronic drum kits and this one is just as good!

I am a music educator. My nine year old son wanted an electronic drum kit for his birthday. Knowing the brands and the price tag associated with better kits, we chose this one to save a little money. If it ended up being a dud, we would just send it back. For a beginner set, this isn't half bad. It definitely serves the purpose of a fun kit to play and learn. Good purchase if you are looking to break into the e-drum kit world. I highly recommend checking out some YouTube videos on this brand.

Listen we all go through some sort of midlife crisis. Well, this is mine. I'm a 46YO female who has no skills in terms of playing ANY type of music instrument. But when I saw this and ordered it, I thought maybe the 11YO would love to learn drums. Nope. So, what was I going to do with what I now realize is a very nice well put together beginner set? I signed up for drum lessons. I already came up with my band name. Baby Mamma Drama. LOL! Yes, I know I have issues. What else is new?So, I have never played drums let alone sat down in front of a drum set. But I do have a friend who plays and so when he stopped by after I told him I had a setup. He said this was actually a nice beginner drummer set plus it won't be so loud that my husband will leave me. He promises divorce anytime I buy more fish, fish tanks and now this. My husband was the one who set this up for me. Took him about 40 minutes. I think it would have been sooner, but he was distracted and ended up missing a few steps. Everything was included, setup was not complicated. We didn't need to YouTube or look up anything because it was unclear so that's good. For the price point it's quite nice considering how much these drum sets could run you. If my lessons work out better than expected, I will update this listing with my YouTube channel of me trying to play. I'm not expecting to be another Sheilah E, but if you don't remember Prince's drummer than you are missing out!

I ordered this thinking it was just some regular drums. Boy was I wrong, these drums are so amazing. The installation was easy but a little complicated. I had to google a few things but I got it done. I love that it has different settings and sounds. You do have to hook it up to a speaker to hear it. Very fun to play with but for the price I’d definitely not let just anyone play with it.

Donner is making some great musical equipment lately, and it's affordable also, unlike the bigger brands. This is a pretty simple e-kit, nothing is exceptional quality, but everything works well, and it's nice that sticks, headphones and a throne are included so you can get started right away. Lots of sounds and songs built into the module, as well as some helpful instructional guides. The included sounds are fine, lots of variety, and the mesh heads provide good tactile response. The footswitch bass drum pedal is the weak link, but adding a kick pedal and pad would have driven the cost up, so I can understand wanting to keep it cheap. Easy to set up, light and portable, and a price around 300 bucks at the time of this review, make this kit from Donner a good choice for a practice kit or beginners who aren't sure if they will stick with it or not.
