Light, easy to handle using it for multipurpose projects. Vacuum catches dust works surprisingly well. Quality is good price is great.

Worked pretty well unfortunately vacuum portion was terrible. Barely tucked up the drywall. Caused a huge mess. Could have had less of a mess using just sanding blocks.

Prerequisite - you must have upper body strength and a strong enough core as the sander is a fair weight and it is powerful. The ceiling popcorn is getting blasted and my ceiling is left with a smooth finish. The vacuum is working well at collecting the popcorn. With practice, I am spinning out less dust as I pull away from the ceiling. I am wearing the goggles that were provided. I plan on sanding a bumpy plaster wall and have high hopes this sander will do a great finish.

I am a 44 year old female with average upper body strength. This thing is heavy! The instructions are terrible. Comes with parts that have no use. The video shows that the extension pole is adjustable, mine doesn't fit in the main part, and yes I loosened the adjuster. The sand paper that comes with it should be a lower grit for easier, faster removal. And the built in dust removal does absolutely nothing. Unless you have alot of upper body strength, better sand paper, and a shop vac, don't bother ordering this

This drywall sander collects most of the dust produced. It's not super lightweight it does cause a bit of fatigue handling it. I didn't find this to be much of an issue I did have to take breaks from time to time because of the weight. I will keep using it because not having all the dust everywhere to clean up is great.

Item: VERYMODEL store’s Mdl. 225A-ZD Drywall Sander 1050-watt, dust collector, 6-spd, 2100-rpmStorePrice: $109.99 at time of reviewMIS-PRINT REGARDING OPERATING VOLTAGE: It’s important to state that I received the Model 225A-ZD Drywall Sander. Evidently there’s a Model 225B-ZD, which is possibly the model rated at 220-volts. So while the vendor page for this item states operating voltage at 220-vac, in reality the unit I received operates at 110-120-vac.After reading the manual rating the tool at 120-vac and then seeing the unit’s power cord with a US-standard 120-vac grounded male plug end, I had the confidence to plug it in. When powered, I found that the variable speed dial did work. The LED light ring around the sander head did illuminate, (it has its own on-off switch on the sander-head-body), and as I increased the master motor speed I could feel an increasing vacuum exhaust through the handle. In summary, I was impressed and thankful that it was, in fact, usable in 110-120 vac power-locations. And the rated wattage in the manual was also under 1200-watts. Typical home room outlets are rated at 110-120vac, and 15-amps. That calculates to a maximum 1800-watts at the outlet; more than enough power for a 1200-watt tool like this, including any ‘start-up spike in current’ because of the motor’s standard start-up characteristics. While drywall does require skills, which come with time in the commercial field, Do-It-Yourself drywall finishing isn’t out of the question. But like other somewhat major home maintenance tasks, having the right tools is important. And when you’re trying to level out a newly finished drywall surface, leveling the (mudded) joints, and the wall in general, makes all the difference after the wall is painted. So for me, this drywall sander is definitely suitable for DIY interior wall builds and maintenance.NOTABLE FEATURES… The Verymodel sander has two very useful features. One is the LED light ring built into the sanding head and just above the sanding surface . The LED ring light illuminates, in a 360-degree pattern, the surrounding wall surface. By creating shadowing, it highlights elevations that will require leveling. That insures you don’t ‘miss a spot’, so to speak. The other feature that some sanders do not necessarily include is an internal vacuum. This sander has one and the vacuum system also comes with a dust-collection bag. When I powered up the sander and used the variable speed control, I could feel the vacuum increase directly. The speed control, per the vendor page, is a 6-speed. But in fact, the small dial is marked with numbers, but it’s without detents. So essentially, the speed control is continuously variable.OVERALL VALUE… While the Verymodel sander has a price point in the $110-range, and that includes the built-in vacuum, I’m seeing similar drywall sanders on Amazon in the $170-range; some without a built in vacuum, requiring you attach your shop-vacuum. That alone contributed to this sander’s value. I have to add that with a tool like this, and consistent with my similar recommendations for power tools, I’d say take advantage of the Amazon-Asurion 4-year extended warranty at ($29.99). I haven’t seen that extended warranty available at other retail outlets. So given this sander’s features and the available extended warranty, I did feel it was an overall very good value.
