However, it does not kill the fly. Just zaps them. You have to really electrocute the fly, one zap just tickles it

I bought this to combat the eternal presence of 2-3 small flying bugs that plauge my room. This has half solved that problem. It works great on medium to large bugs, but no so much on smaller insectiods. Again, on most bugs, an accurate swipe will reward you with a satisfying crack and a lovely charred bug corpse on your floor. On anything smaller, however, (I'm talking gnat to fruit fly range here) it's not so effective.I don't think this is due because of a design or product flaw, as I do occasionally kill some of the smaller bugs, I think it's more of a fundamental flaw with air pressure and smaller bugs remarkable reflex time. It seems that the wind generated by the act of swiping the device at the bug creates enough pressure to send the bug careening out of harms way, resulting in a miss of both the elecrical grid and of the endorphones to my brain that killing these little bastards brings me.TL:DR: It's great for most bugs, it doesn't work so well on very small bugs.

This is the easiest way to catch flies. You can hold it over any insect . When it flies up into the mesh just push the side button and they are a goner.

I barely got it a week ago. It arcs to itself and sparks without any bugs in it. Not worth the 20 bucks, the 5 dollar ones I got 5 years ago still work great. The included picture shows it arcing to itself but it's hard to capture a spark.

I bought this with the intention of using it on larger flying bugs like mosquitos and flies. But a fruit fly invaded my house this week so I had my first chance to try this out. After installing the batteries,I pushed the button. A little light on the handle lights up to let you know the power is engaged. It is completely silent. It took me a while to get the little bug. He was small enough to fly right through the scatter, so I wasn’t sure if I was missing the fruit fly. Finally, I got the little critter and there was a tiny flare when he hit the electrified wire. Poof, he was dead. I cannot wait to try this on a nasty mosquito!

I have an older model that works really well, but we wanted a second one. This one is so much better and more powerful than the first one we got! Definitely worth the purchase!

El tamaño es perfecto y se siente muy sólido. La descarga eléctrica es suficiente para aniquilar a los mosquitos y las moscas aunque algunas veces hay que asegurarse de que el insecto esté completamente deshabilitado, sobre todo cuando es un insecto muy grande. Dejando presionando el boton de descarga un poco más de tiempo en estos casos, ayuda a asegurar esto.
