I've only used this machine a few times, so I can't speak to the longevity of the device. So far there are several things that I really like about it. If you are making highly repetitive strap welds, such as in a factory, I can see how the motorized tensioning version of this device would help speed up the process. If you are using it on a smaller scale with varied packaging, being able to feel and see how tight it is becoming makes the manual tensioner of this version quite useful. I was worried about finding additonal batteries for this device, but that turns out to be a non-issue. The first picture shows the original battery on the left, a generic Bosch 18v battery to Dewalt 20v adapter (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09LHWZS15), and an oem Dewalt 20v battery on the right. Using the adapter with the Dewalt battery works fine, so I assume that (at least a generic) Bosch 18v battery will work fine with this device as well. With a couple of tries, I found it easy to set the weld time correctly to make good welds on two very different strap stocks: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CMF6438C and https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004OR1CA2. The brown strapping is 0.026" (0.6604 mm) thick and the white strapping is 0.036" (0.9144 mm) thick. The manual (which seems nearly impossible to find online) states that the strap should be 13 to 16 mm wide and 0.4 to 1.2 mm thick. The digital display makes it easy to record and reset the perfect time for different stocks. According to the manufacturer, you should: Charge the battery before use; don't discharge it further when the battery indicator is flashing red; take the battery off when not using the machine for a while; and charge it every couple of months if it is not being used, in order to maintain propper operation. Batteries that have been excessively discharged are not covered by warranty. Make sure to read the manual completely- it will make it much easier to operate the device. With a little practice and proper strap alignment, this device makes good, consistent welds.

Can’t get it to work properly and I can’t find a .4 thickness strap that’s 1/2†wide or less anywhere the strap it says that works is not thick enough it’s .2 thickness and the machine slips on it an does not let it strap correctly, now I have a machine that doesn’t work because I can’t find any strap that’s compatible with the machine ..

I really love this SDRTOP Electric Strapping Machine V1! It makes my job so much easier and works great with 1/2 to 5/8 inch PP/PET plastic straps. It’s perfect for my day to day securing boxes and pallets. The only downsides are that it’s a bit heavy, and I wish it came with an extra battery to avoid interruptions. But overall, it’s a fantastic tool that has made my packaging process a lot smoother.

The Electric Strapping Machine V1 Handheld Semi-Automatic Banding Tool has truly impressed me with its exceptional design and functionality. The product's design is intuitive and user-friendly, making it incredibly easy to operate. The semi-automatic banding feature significantly streamlines our strapping process, saving us both time and effort. The machine's build is robust, and durable, but heavy. Consistently produces secure and tight strapping, making it a reliable choice for our packaging needs. The one minor drawback I encountered was that the instructions were poorly written, which made the initial setup a bit challenging. However, once past that initial hurdle, the Electric Strapping Machine V1 has become an invaluable addition to our operations, and I'm thoroughly pleased with its design and functionality.

Bought two and used for a week. One broke so had to return it. The other one is still working fine, finger crossed.

Using this everyday in our Sawmill to bundle up lumber. Really impressed with how easy it is to use, and the job it does. Lifting up on the handle to tighten seems counterintuitive, but not a big deal. If this holds up I'm going to buy 2 more.
