Was looking forward to this instrument that arrived today. Well packed, very nice looking, in a very nice case. Everything included as illustrated in photo. A different resin than shown was received. It was very brittle and pieces crumbling off. String pattern in photo was Red, Orange, Green and Blue (G, D, A and E). The color pattern received was Red, Purple, Green and Blue (E G D A). Strings were set up in wrong position in the fine-tuning slots (based on thickness of strings), making it virtually impossible for a novice to correctly tune. Replacement strings were black, purple, green and blue. There was no string tuning guide. The strings in the peg box were crossing each other. There were ware marks on the finger board as if previously used. There were scratches in several places including between the bridge and finger board. The blue string was damaged. Previous reviews on this item were not helpful. There were however other revealing reviews for this particular instrument that were available with different accessory packages. It appears that this same instrument is offered by several sellers. Electronic components seemed to work fine; however the battery quickly lost all power. Bow was a challenge to resin. Waisted a lot of time trying to get it to a point where it would play ... but not well. Contacted the seller and they offered a new pack of strings and a $14 discount on the instrument. The strings were not available on Amazon, so they offered a $30 discount and no strings. Yes it was a very inexpensive instrument; however, one would think it would arrive in better condition and actually work. Seller sincerely tried to offer a solution, so a rating went from 1 to 2. Still need an instrument that plays.
