I honestly didn’t expect much for the price. I needed a quick speaker fix for my record player while I was looking for new ones after my previous had blown. But I was seriously impressed these lil guys pack a crisp lil punch believe me I only listen to boom bap at high volume. So for the price these are a win, obviously the quality gets better the more you pay. But definitely recommend (and for you producers it’s nice balanced sound as well)

Just set these up with my new record player. Good size, good sound quality, easy instructions, easy to connected to my phone (to use bluetooth option).

Had purchased a garrard turntable and Jayco pre amp. Purchased speakers iLive brand. Horrible loud humming. Then I purchased these little guys. I was unsure how they would be given mixed reviews. So happy that they sound excellent and the loud humming is no longer present. Love the responsive volume control nob. Thought the small size may decrease quality of sound but not so. Quality build. Not cheap. Very happy.

I liked the price, and I liked the look and size of these. My husband, fortunately, had more knowledge than I did about how to hook them up. Because we couldn't get them to work when plugged in to the sound output on the actual TV, we plugged into the sound output on our Dish Hopper box. They work to get more volume, in fact a lot more volume!Drawbacks:- I went over and over this listing and was not sure (possibly because I'm basically ignorant about hooking up speakers) if there would be RCA cables included. There are not. Fortunately, we had a set that had come with a former Dish Network setup, and were able to use those. The seller should make a definite statement in the description that, while the speakers work with RCA cables, they are NOT included.- since the sound output now coming from the Dish Hopper, the volume control on the TV remote doesn't control the volume. The Dish remote is programmed to the TV.- We have to mute the TV volume so as not to have an "echo" going on, but that's easy to manage. So, having just set these up, I'm happy with the way I can now get boosted sound when I want to from our old kitchen TV. I can turn the speakers on and mute the TV sound when I need to (working in the kitchen, running water, etc.). I can easily turn the speakers off and unmute the TV sound when I don't need the speakers' louder volume but want the convenience of sound control on the Dish remote.

Worked until they didn’t. I had these for 3 months and used them several times only before they stopped working. The passive speaker that connects through the speaker wire stopped working and would only crack and play distorted sounds. The active speaker works just fine but the second doesn’t. I replaced the speaker wire, troubleshot some more and it still doesn’t work. I reached out to the company since they worked for less than 3 months and they will only replace them if I pay to ship the old ones back which is a little ridiculous. At that rate, I could just buy new speakers. I wouldn’t recommend. They were fine when they worked but it’s not worth it to pay $50 for them to break that quickly.

Great sound quality for a compact size.

I was looking for the smallest powered bookshelf speakers I could find with a natural looking wood finish and finally settled on these relatively tiny Electrohome Huntley speakers. I knew with only a single speaker that the sound quality would be lacking the fidelity I desire and I was really hoping that some of the better technical specs would make up for the size even though I know the physical limitations and the reality of speaker design. While they are great for small speakers, they really don't sound great to me - decent bass response, but very muddy mid and highs. I am considering replacing them with larger three way speakers like the prosonus 3.5s

Used these to set up an old turn table and they work great. Hard to find ones with the red and white cable! And they look nice too. Highly recommend.

I own many fancy speakers all the way up to almighty mega speakers Neumann KH 80 DSP.The thing is all these speakers sound good under certain conditions, certain music, certain amp, placement in the room and so on. But these Electrohome speakers are simple and they sounds great under any condition, any placement, any music, any genre, or YouTube videos or movies, it just sounds great, great resolution and satisfaction. Just simple natural sounding speakers. These are so hard to find nowadays. These are my default speakers now.

It's great! It links up to my record player and cell phone nicely.I was initially worried because the record player volume was quite low, until I realized I hadn't factored in an amplifier (and the record player didn't have a built-in one).Sound quality lost one star because they're not powerful speakers, but, for their size and cost, they're worthwhile.

The speakers themselves are of good quality and were easy to set up but that’s about as good as it gets. After around 15 minutes of use at low volume, the right speaker began to smoke out of nowhere. As to what might’ve caused this, no clue. I would like to say that I might’ve just received a faulty set, but a waste of $70 at the end of the day.
