I purchased this for a woman in her 90s who is going blind. She’s very devoted and loved reading the Bible so I bought this for her at Christmas. She especially loved the fact that there are hymns that she can sing along to. I highly recommend this.

We purchased this for a shut-in. They loved the voice of the reader (we returned another product because of the voice). However, the controls aren't marked and ideally would be larger.All in all, it's a good product that could be better but an excellent value.

Purchased for a family friend who is losing her eyesight and can no longer see well enough to read a large print bible. She used to read the bible daily so she was devastated to lose the ability to do this. I wasn't sure if she would like this recorded version of the bible. She already owned a set of tapes but she disliked them because their recorded text was incorrect. I showed her how to work this bible the day she received it. I had put batteries in it before wrapping it. She was in tears later that night. She said it was the best gift she had ever received. She listens to it every night. She hasn't said anything about the text being wrong or that she dislikes the voice reading it. The buttons are easy for her to see. There are no codes to enter to get to a certain chapter. She just has to scroll through them by pushing the up or down arrow-shaped buttons. I couldn't be happier with this product. I strongly recommend this item for anyone who is unable to read a printed bible. Our friend is in her 80's and she has had no problem operating the controls. She likes the fact that it is portable and operates on batteries than a charger.

I bought this item twice. My dad really liked the first one. He had dementia and it was something he would sit for hours and listen to. So I will say it to us it was worth the cost. The down side is after about 6 months the first one stopped working so I had to buy him another. The second one lasted almost as long as the first. I don’t know if this was a product failure, but I would think so as we went through two in approx. one year. He wasn’t hard on them, just used a lot. That being said I would have bought another one if my dad was still with us. He really did like it.
