I purchased this for myself and I LOVE IT. It is well-made, absolutely beautiful, and reasonably priced. It would make a super gift for a loved one. I suspect they will think you spent more than $20.If there is a negative, it might be that it could be too heavy for an older person who has a weak grip or someone who has painful arthritis in their hands.

I bought this yad for my daughter to use on her Bat Mitzvah. We received many compliments on the design. It is also nicely weighted and feels well-crafted, so it sits well in the hand. I also like that the chain could be removed if it got in the way. This makes a great Bar/Bat Mitzvah gift or gift for someone who reads Torah regularly.
