This little hand blender is terrific. If you need to blend sauces, dips, salad dressings, soups or gravies this works good. Very light weight which I loved because I had control. I just blended a good amount of sauted onions, 4 cloves of garlic and 2 large cans of whole tomatoes. Nice pureed sauce then added the meat back in after blending. It didn't start off too fast and splash. Easy to clean. The button is one speed and easy to press and reach with one hand. It's light plastic not a tough tool but I like the plastic because it won't scratch my nonstick pots; the blade is metal surrounded by plastic. If you need to chop nuts or blend ice this is not the blender for that. But a handy tool in the kitchen with many uses.

I got this for my husband because his hands don't work that good.But it works great.The speed is sharp.. easy to handle.Easy to wash.

After I ran it for 2 or 3 minutes, black powder began to come out from the motor and accumulate inside the attachment that holds the blade. Feels like something is grinding on the inside of the motor to cause it. (probably the carbon contacts)But the motor is powerful. Still works. I just need to be careful to get rid of the debris that comes out of the motor.

Worked ONCE ONLY. Used it to mash some pinto beans for refried beans. Put in in drawer after cleaning. Took it out today (2 months later) to used for same task again. Motor froze & the thing became so HOT I thought it would burst into flames before I could unplug it from the wall. My kitchen stinks like burnt electrical still hours later! I am afraid to throw the thing in the trash for fear of fire!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE APPLIANCE!!!! I give it ZERO STARS & of course it's past the window of return. Ugh!!
